The Language of Rope – A Somatic Introduction to Connection

November 6 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Facilitated by Heather Rhea Dawn

This experience is an invitation into the world of rope—not as performance, but as presence.

Heather Rhea Dawn guides participants through the foundations of Shibari as a somatic practice, where rope becomes a language of connection, sensation, and awareness.

Through slow, intentional exploration, participants begin to understand how the body responds to containment, pressure, and touch.

Rather than focusing on complex patterns or techniques, this journey centers on feeling—how the nervous system softens, how the body begins to trust, and how connection deepens when there is no rush to perform.

Participants will be guided into:

• the principles of consent, communication, and safety
• the somatic impact of gentle rope containment
• how to give and receive rope from a place of presence
• the foundations of trust and nervous system awareness
• simple, floor-based ties focused on sensation

This is not about getting it “right.”
It is about learning how to listen through the body.

As the rope meets the skin, something begins to shift—
awareness deepens, the mind quiets, and the body starts to speak.
